In order to determine if Afrezza® is right for you, you need to complete a breathing test. Mannkind is going to send you a handheld device used to do this breathing test and help get you started on Afrezza. The handheld device is used to conduct an FEV1 (Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 second) test, which determines the amount of air that you can expel from your lungs in one second. This test is done before starting Afrezza to establish a baseline reading.

Once you’ve received and taken the test at home, please log back into your GetAfrezza.com account through the provided link in your Order Confirmation email and input your test result into the consult.

Once you’ve entered your test score, you will then be able to schedule an appointment with a licensed doctor or Nurse Practitioner.
